Ron Varley's 100/S Representation
'Best of Show' at Conclave 2010

This car was built with the intention of utilizing the best
of the 100/S attributes, while improving on the weaknesses.
It includes full 100/S body styling and a 145 hp,
modified 100 engine.

Ron's expectations for his car were greater than
typical restorations. Therefore, his project was designed
with careful thought and discreet engineering improvements,
with sensitivity to the era.

Randy Szczesny's BJ8
This Austin-Healey BJ8 was constructed from scratch by Sport and Specialty.

Built from scratch with new frame Austin Healey BJ8 during restoration AH BJ8 being restored
The car began with a new, accurate chassis
ordered from Kilmartin Automotive Sheetmetal
of Australia and all new panels that were available.
Having used over a dozen Kilmartin chassis in other projects, we have realized that classic Healey problems (scuttle shake, chassis (door) sag, excess flexibility) can be eliminated by starting with these solid frames.

Upgrades to OEM on this project include Getrag 5-speed transmission,
air conditioning, cruise control, Jaguar brakes, alternator,
and a modified high-torque engine.

Any of these modifications could be reversed if desired.
